- Determine if package pricing is for you vs traditional fee for service.
- Learn how to build your team for the most effective sessions
- Obtain the questions you need to ask centers prior to partnering.

#1 Billing & Pricing
This class is all about highlighting you! In order to set your pricing, and know your offerings, we need to take a good look at you and your experience.
We will then discuss what needs to be on your invoices, insurance company exclusions you should be aware of, and package pricing vs. fee for service.
You will leave this class feeling excited and validated in your fees structure.
#2 Practice Building
Private practice, employee, contractor??
We will look at the pros and cons to each of these set ups so you can choose the option that fits you and your experience best.
You will given example forms ALL the required paperwork that you will want to use, and then some extra! These will all be provided in a PDF format so you can quickly and easily place your business/centers logo in place. Talk about a time saver!
#3 Building your Team
Building your team is essential if you want the best quality sessions and lower burn out for YOU!
We will discuss the variety of ways you can establish your practice, free standing or part of a riding center.
Volunteer/employee training will be discussed and you will get a FULL volunteer & employee training manual with videos you can use for your practice! Including the typical forms required to keep your records up to date.
I'M Melissa Jean.
My personal journey of partnering horses with humans began in 2005. I was placed on a internship in grad school @ Special Strides in NJ. That internship changed my life in ways I can never fully prepare for. I was determined enough to make the long trip, multiple times a week, for 6 years, to continue learning and growing.
I have continued my education, not only as a therapist, but in equine movement, equine welfare and business management. This came with many sacrifices. But they all came with the gift of empowerment.
And now I want to empower you!! Deciding to partner with horses is unlike any other business decision you will make. And it really doesn't need to be so hard.
To date, I have been an employee and/or contract therapist in over 5 barns, in 3 states and opened 2 private practices. I have leased horses ,as well as, have 2 of my own. All of this has helped me gain the knowledge that I now want to share with all of you.
